Harry Banks Briley Obituary
Harry Banks Briley, 87, passed away May 13, 2012. He was born on October 5, 1924 in
Kennett Square, PA. He was a retired mechanical engineer. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He served in Ireland, England, the invasion of Normandy and Germany. After the war he met and married Phyllis Hood Briley of Ridley Park, PA and they lived there many years. In 1985 they retired and moved to Palm Coast, FL. Recently they moved to Bishop Glen Retirement Center in Holly Hill, FL. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Phyllis Briley; three daughters Christin Nicole, Charleston, SC, Dr. Margaret Briley, Youngstown, Ohio, Phyllis Briley Geiser (Allen), Ridley Park, PA; and a son David Briley, Ridley Park, PA; four granddaughters; one grandson; and one great-grandson; two brothers Francis Briley (Betty), West Grove, PA. and Colonel Howard Briley (Ret) (Michelle), France; and a sister Louise Gamble, Tennessee. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Madeline Church, Ridley Park. Contributions can be made to Halifax Health Hospice Port Orange Care Center, 38 Woodbriar Trial, Port Orange, FL 32129.
